 Life and chess biography, more than 100 annotated games, crosstables of Savon's tournaments, indexes of players and openings. 2 pictures. 

Vladimir Savon (1940-2005) Ukrainian Grandmaster, was one of the best Soviet players in the 1960-70’s. In 1971 he won the 39th USSR championship without a loss, 15 points of 21 games, a point and a half ahead of Smyslov, Tal, Karpov, Stein and others. After the end of his active career, he was a succesful coach. Among his students were, among others, the author of the book Alexander Moiseenko (born 1980, one of the best Ukrainian chess players, European champion 2013, achieved a rating of 2726). Vasyl Ivanchuk (who has annotated several games) in the end of 1980s . also trained with Savon.
