DESCRIPTION

Keesings Chess Archives:

Keesings International Schaak-archief. November 1938-February 1940. Amsterdam/New York, Keesings & Sons 1938-1949. Editor Hans Kmoch.

Chess Archives. Complete set comprises 283 pages with one plate, tables and diagrams. 27,5 cm. A loose-leaf file with binder of all games played in international tournaments and matches from November 1938, continously brought up to date. Text in Dutch, English, French and German. Contains 1000 games in algebraic figurine notation. [...] includes cumulative indexes of openings, strategical motifs, players. Issues are unnumbered. Description taken from Betts 24-35.

Index 5 is empty. I don´t know whether it was published. On page 283 you find a parting word by the publishers. The publication had to be stopped because of worsening economic conditions during the war. A rare item!

Condition : private binding with wear, spine with discoloration. A few pages with marginalia in blue ink. The pictures are part of the description. Otherwise inside nice and clean. Overall Condition = Still Good!

Postage EUR (insurance included): Non-EU countries please ask! I try to choose the most cost-effective yet reliable way.

I combine shipping – you always pay just real postage! The packing materials are free.

I send with the so-called "Paketmarke" (for further information https://www.post.at/privat_versenden_paket_paketmarke.php) which is, in general, the most cost-effective and reliable way to send parcels to Austria. One feature is that the shipment costs are defined via the longest and the shortest side of the parcel. The weight is limited to 10 kg. The parcel is also insured up to € 500,-.

  1. PM 045 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 45 cm) GER=€10,79, other EU = €14,19
  2. PM 070 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel is added max. 70 cm) GER=€16,24, other EU = €19,69
  3. PM 120 = longest and the shortest side of the parcel are added max. 120 cm) GER=€21,69, other EU = €25,19

Therefore if you win more than 1 lot and the books fit into the same parcel, the shipping costs will be the same as for 1 book.

Important: Please wait with payment until you get my confirmation email, as the shipping costs have to be calculated.

P.S.: Bibliographical data taken from the KWABC database maintained by Mr Per Skjoldager (PS).
