Very good: Binding in very good to excellent condition. No special defects to note. Original covers slightly defective, but complete. Few more defects to note, except for very few slight wrinkles or stains and little else. Inside in very good to excellent condition.

In the first official world championship competition in North America in 1886, Steinitz won against Zukertort 10:5 with 5 drawn games. The game part first deals with the first to fifth match games in New York, then the sixth to ninth match games in St. Louis and finally the tenth to twentieth match games in New Orleans.
