Rare, very scarce and extremely hard to find!!!
Heřmánek, Jozef: "10 Rokov Šachového Klubu v Žiline", poriadatela 1. TURNAJA O MAJSTROVSTVO SLOVENSKA.
Žilina, vydal Šachový Klub, 1935. Private half cloth binding without prints, with publishers original softback front cover preserved within. 1 unnumbered page + 42 pages (including Title page). 23 x 15,5 cm. In Slovak. Limited Edition of 400 copies, of which only 200 were for sale. Probably the number 213 that appears on the first unnumbered page is the copy number.
Very good: General very light browning. Slight remains of a label (erosion of the top layer of paper when peeling off) on the upper half of the front cover near the top outside corner. Stamp and annotations from the old Library on the Title Page. Inside without writings in very good to excellent condition.
Not in L/N!! Not in Di Felice (Chess Competitions 1824-1970)!! Not in Kieler Schachkatalog!!

In this brochure, in addition to the history of the Chess Club in Žilina 1925-1935, the author informs about the organization of the Slovak county ÚJČŠ and its activities, and also provides brief biographies Žilina chess players. There are no games or problems in the booklet.
This book is the 2nd Chess book published in Slovak. The 1st also was published by the Žilina Chess Club. It is clear that the Žilina Chess Club has a capital importance in the "origins" of Slovak Chess. There is abundant information at the following link: http://www.mladost.sk/dejiny.htm
On pages 7-8 is the Tournament Program, the 1st Slovak Chess Championship. As it appears in the bases, it finally took place in April, and the Champion was Karel Opocensky, undefeated and half a point ahead of Rohacek, and 1 point over Fazekas. I attach a photo of the Crosstable, which appears on page 339 of Di Felice's book, "Chess Results 1931-1935".
