Revista de sah 1925.
Soroca, 1925. Contemporary halfcloth, spine lettered. 188 pages. Size 23 cm. The weight 390 grams. LN 6300. Di Felice 1975. Stere: RO-ABC 207. In Romanian.
Good to very good: binding is OK, covers slightly soiled. Stamp of previous owner (chess composer and collector Ilja Mikan) on front paste-down and the same stamp on front free endpaper. Small neat marks in pencil or red crayon in the problem section, otherwise internally clean and except the inscription (see below) with no writings.
Complete volume 1 - numbers 1-8, title/index were not issued. Covers are not bound in. No plates were published in this volume. This first volume has only 8 numbers, as the publication started in May
Inscription in pen on first page, signed by Sigmund Herland and dated March 1928. The magazine was presented as a prize for the 1927 endgame study tournament, Herland was the editor of the study section.
The volume contains ca 56 annotated games, 198 problems and 40 endgame studies.
Revista de sah was the main Romanian magazine, published monthly in 1925-1931, 1933-1940, 1947-1949 and in a New series in 1950-1992. Between 1930-1949 and 1975-1992 the magazine was titled Revista Romana de sah.
