"How to Solve Chess Problems" by Kenneth.S.Howard. Published in hardback by David McKay in 1945. First Edition. 171pp. Betts 30-23. The book is in Good Plus condition for its age. The binding is tight and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards are very clean and the gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. The top page edge block is dusty but the other two are clean. Internally the book is in clean, unmarked condition. It feels as though it's been read (mild evidence of handling such as light creasing, etc) but it's still quite presentable. There is a previous owner's signature and a price on the front endpaper but the remainder of the book is inscription and annotation free. The book's dustjacket is in Fair condition. The top of the front panel has had a red piece of paper affixed to camouflage an area of loss. A similiar repair adorns the foot of the spine. In addition there is scuffing, chipping and discolouration to note (see scans). The dustjacket is now protected by a removable see-through sleeve. Further scanned images are available on request. Positions are given in algebraic notation. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
