"CHESS, Sutton Coldfield. Volume 12". Bound in publisher's brown hardback. All twelve magazines for Volume 12 (Oct 1946 - Sept 1947, Magazine Numbers 133 to 144, inclusive). 366pp. Includes index but no magazine covers. The volume is in Good condition, for its age. The binding is good (not "tight" as there is a deal of movement to the spine) and there is no shelf lean or bowing present. The boards have slight damage to tips and spine ends (see scans). The gilt lettering on the spine has faded but is still readable. The page edge blocks are heavily age-tanned. Internally the volume is clean and appears to be inscription and annotation free. There is foxing to the first and last couple of pages but nowhere else. The magazines do NOT exhibit the often seen vertical crease from having been in the post, back in the day. The paper quality so soon after WW2 was poor and this fact is reflected in the tanning seen on all internal pages, especially around the page perimeters. Games are in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Standard airmail postage (see An Post.com website for prices) based on book weight will be used unless the winning bidder requires signature on delivery or insurance, etc. Any questions, please just ask.
PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
