"My Best Games of Chess, 1905-30" by S.G. Tartakower. Published in hardback by Bell & Sons in 1953. First Edition. 250pp. Betts 29-146. The book is in Good overall condition for its age. There is mild bowing evident to both boards (see scan) but the binding is tight and there is no shelf lean present. The gilt lettering on the spine has faded but is still readable. The page edge blocks show signs of age and handling plus a few light specks of foxing (see scan). Internally the volume is clean and presentable. It appears to be inscription, annotation and foxing free. There are "shadow" marks on the front and rear endpaper (see scans) where, presumably, a bookmark has previously been placed. The dustjacket is in Very Good condition. It has tiny areas of loss at the head and tail of the spine plus two short, closed tears to note but it is still very presentable and is now protected by a removable see-through.
