DESCRIPTION

"My Best Games of Chess, 1931-54" by S.G. Tartakower. Published in hardback by Bell & Sons in 1956. First Edition. 197pp. Betts 29-148. The book is in Very Good overall condition for its age. There is very mild bowing evident to both boards (see scan) but the binding is tight and there is no shelf lean present. The gilt lettering on the spine is still strong. The page edge blocks are evenly tanned from age only. Internally the volume is very clean and presentable. It appears to be inscription, annotation and foxing free. There is a "CHESS, Sutton Coldfield" sticker on the front endpaper. The dustjacket is also in Very Good condition. It has no loss but there is darkening to the spine and a tiny speck to note as depredations (see scans). It is now protected by a removable see-through. Games are given in English descriptive notation. Further scanned images are available on request. Any questions, please just ask.

PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOW BASED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND AND, THEREFORE, ALL SALES TO EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS (APART FROM GB) WILL BE IN EUROS AND SHIPPED DIRECT EU - EU (THUS AVOIDING ANY BREXIT POSTAL TAXES). CUSTOMERS IN THE GB AREA CAN STILL AVAIL OF SHIPPING DIRECT GB - GB AS I CAN SHIP FROM NORTHERN IRELAND, ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DELAY IN POSTING. CUSTOMERS IN THE USA AND THE RoW WILL HAVE THEIR ORDER SHIPPED FROM THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.
