Hort, Vlastimil. Schwarzweiße Erzählungen. Bärenhort, Köln, 1989. In German. 235 pages. With 6 text drawings by Karel Popp. Original grey cloth with dust jacket.
Signed by Vlastimil Hort on the title page dated 13 June 2013.
The book contains chess detective stories written by chess grandmaster Vlastimil Hort in 1977, when the communist comrades took away his passport for half a year, so he could not participate in chess tournaments. The stories reflect the time and some real people from the chess environment. One of the reviews of the recent Czech edition was "It's readable, but it's not Poirot."
Condition - Good: dust jacket slightly soiled and with small tears around the edges.
