Josef Pribyl (born 1947) is a Czech chess player with the title of International Master, successful coach and author. In the 1970s and 1980s he was one of the leading Czech chess players. He participated in many Czechoslovak championships, where he won a silver medal (1983) and 4 bronze medals (1971, 1972, 1980, 1982). In 1970 - 1974 he represented Czechoslovakia at 3 Chess Olympiads.
