White, Alain Campbell. Sam Loyd und seine Schachaufgaben. Leipzig, Ronniger, 1926. In German. 482 + 1 leaf with advertisements. 5 plates (on pages 98, 124, 142, 416 and one portrait plate as frontispiece). LN 2630. The original (?) cloth luxury binding with gilt on spine and front cover.

A comprehensive publication with 748 problems by the famous American composer Sam Loyd and with other interesting facts from his life, including several non-chess tasks.

With rare signature of the Czech chess master and brilliant composer of chess endgame studies Josef Hasek (1897-1976) on the first endpaper.

Condition - Good to Very Good: only slight signs of use.
