Strong national tournament Olomouc (ASO) 1944

Very good: no flaws. On the back are penned names of the persons in the photo.
Staying: Dr.Mohapl, Mikulka, Malcanek, Draisaitl (Olomouc player, not a participant)
Sitting: Hanak, Rasovsky (director of the tournament and author of the tournament book, LN 5656), Hlavacek
Ten players played in the tournament, five of whom are pictured. The other players were Florian (winner), Zita, Tikovsky, Hromadka and Stulik.
Biographical data of some participants:
Dr. Vladimir Mohapl (1893-1968), one of the best Olomouc players in 1920s-1940s, multiple Olomouc champion.
Oldrich Malcanek (1910-2001), one of the best Olomouc players in 1930s-1960s, multiple Olomouc champion.
Josef Rasovsky (1881-1961), Czech player, organizer and problemist. Author of ca 50 problems.
