Ferdinand Julius Brede was a German writer and chess composer who worked as an accountant in G.F. Baur's store in Altona. He wrote under the pseudonym “de Fiber”. His poems appeared in various magazines. He was also the author of "Almanach für Freunde vom Schachspiel". Altona 1844.
Condition: Contemporary halfbound leather. Minor defect to spine. Binding loose. Crack inside at gutter. Paper yellowed. Some spots. A few notes.
