In 1872 John Watkinson started a chess column in the Huddersfield College Magazine. Finally this magazine evolved into the British Chess Magazine which is still going strong today. 320 pages. Index. London, Wheatley, 1880.
Condition: Privately bound with many tape repairs on spine and corners. Plastic strip as title on spine. Crack inside at gutter. Tears on titel page. Paper yellowed. A few pages are loose. Re-binding is recommended.
