Editor Sam Loyd. March 1878 - July 1879 (all issued). 398 pp. Bound in two volumes. L/N 6395. Betts 7-24. Di Felice 119. A lot (ca 25?) of woodcuts on famous players and composers, e.g. Loyd, Cochran, Delmar, Mason, Steinitz, Kolisch, Staunton, Harwitz, Philidor, Labourdonnais, Anderssen etc. etc.
Condition: Binding on both volumes are defect. Crack at endpapers - need a repair. Foxing on some pages.
