Carpenter's Chess Problems.
Presented to Manhattan Chess Club by the Author.
Carpenter was a contributor to Dubuque Chess Journal in 1875 when he published his first problems. Later he published his problems in 1866 in two vols. (L/N 2468). The present work is a subset of his work from 1866. Part of the book contains printed compositions to which he has added later compositions by hand.
Condition: Front lid is loose. Paper yellowed. Binding loose with some wear.
