Original blue cloth, spine slightly faded otherwise a good copy. Frontispiece diagrams, pp vii, 92. LN 1854. Long was President of the Irish Chess Association. He wrote two earlier books on the openings employing the novel method of a half-turned piece to indicate the last move played in each diagram. This is repeated in the present and scarcest book.
