DESCRIPTION
A SIGNED LETTER FROM TARTAKOWER DATED 2 JULY 1950, written in French to R.E.Robinson (author of 1.P-KB4 A Guide to Bird's Opening) thanking him for his letter and fine book. In the letter he refers to several games in the book and gives a couple of variations. Also includes a letter from R.E.Robinson to R.Broadbent (British Champion 1948) in which he states he is enclosing the two books by Tartakower along with his letter. He says he was impressed so much by one of Tartakower's games with Bird's opening that he searched out as many games as he could and then published his book.
