International Master Jindrich Trapl (1942-2010) was for three decades in 1960-1990 one of the best Czechoslovak players. He was a player of active and attacking style and it is a pleasure to play through his games regardless of their result. About 30 chess players and writers took part on this nice biographical book written in his honor.
The book contains biography, about 50 well annotated games, detailed career record with ca 80 crosstables of his tournaments, more than 50 mostly earlier unpublished color photos, remembrances and comments of family, other players and friends.
Jindrich Trapl, called sometimes chess gentleman for his fair play and friendly nature, was also strong corresponce player and trainer.
