The periodical Zadatchi i Etyudy was published between 1927-1930, 8 volumes in all. All of them are rare and almost do not appear in the market. This book is a reprint of all eight volumes, containing many hundreds of problems and studies, as well as articles on theme of chess composition. The publishing ended in 1930 with the number 8, after its editor chess composer L. B. Zalkind was persecuted by the Soviet regime and arrested.
In 1995, after the 65-year break, the Zadatchi i Etyudy continue with number 9 and they run up to the present. (by the way, we offer most issues of numbers 9 and on our website).
