Czech town Caslav ca 1920s
dancing party of chess players
photo size 13.5 x 8.5 cm
The photo shows chess ball or dancing party in Czech town Caslav. The photo is undated but I guess it is around 1925-1930, similarly like two other chess photos of mid-Bohemia towns Nymburk and Caslav, which I am listing in other auctions (I acquired these photos from the same source).
I am not familiar with the persons in the photo, however the „chessboard“ and the inscription „Sachu zdar!“ (= something like „Vivat Chess!“) in the top center show that it is a chess happening:
The photo is marked by a blindstamp of the photographer Brezina („Brezina / Caslav“) in the bottom right corner.
Very good: light general signs of use, no flaws.
