Gottschall, Hermann v. Anderssen.

Adolf Anderssen der Altmeister deutscher Schachspielkunst. Sein Leben und Schaffen. Adolf Anderssen (1818 - 1879) won the first tournament in London in 1851. Since then, undisputed champion of Germany. In particular the treatment of the openings offers a wealth of the most wonderful combinations. Leipzig, Veit, 1912. With 3 plates (including frontispiece), 17 illustrations in text and many diagrams. VIII, 553 pages, 1 leaf. L/N 3034.

Condition: VG. Privately bound in red/brown leatherette. No print on spine. Minor notes inside. A few spots. Ex libris Geurt Geijssen.
