The Russian politician and jurist N. W. Krylenko (1885 - 1938) was a war commissioner in 1917/18, later a commissioner for justice and chief prosecutor of the Supreme Court. He fell victim to the great purge of Stalin. His name and his preface were removed from all still unsold books. Copies of the present work with the preserved name Krylenkos are rare. This copy includes all the "Krylenko parts", which were removed from most copies. Very rare.
Condition: Publishers original hardback. Cover is soiled. Paper yellowed. Minor crack inside at first endpaper. Minor crack inside at the back at the "table of content". VG.
