Reykjavik Chess tournament is the most important tournament of the Icelandic nation. It is also the oldest international event that bears the name of the capital and still are held regularly. History Reykjavíkurmótsins 50 years tells the story of chess in Iceland, where the tournament has formed a center of chess life for half a century.
The tournament has given local chess players the opportunity to compete with foreign chessmasters at home and the people the satisfaction of being able to keep up with world-class chess at close range. Reykjavik 2016, 242 pages. Hardback.
