Paul Keres (1916-1975)

probably from Prague 1943 int. tournament
The photo is pasted on carton and covered by tissue paper. It is signed in pen at the bottom.
It is very probably from the international Easter tournament in Prague 1943 (1. Aljechin, 2. Keres, 3. Katetov etc).
Size of photo 17 x 12 cm, size of carton 24.5 x 18 cm.
Good or better: there are 2 small dents under Keres‘ head (they are almost invisible in the picture). The carton has small, ca 0.5 cm tear at the top, back side of the carton is a little soiled, o/w light general signs of use.
Biographical data:
Paul Keres (1916-1975), Estonian GM, one of the world best players in 1940s-1950s. He was several times to play for the world championship, was nicknamed „The Crown Prince of Chess“. Noted theoretician, author of many books.
