Czech problem- and study composer
postcard to Czech master Karel Traxler
dated Zdar u Svijan, 9. X. 1915
Josef Cumpe sends correction of one of his problems, with some analyzes. Handwritten text, 1 stamped diagram.
14 x 9 cm, postally used, dated 9. X. 1915.
Good or better: front cover (with diageam) somewhat stained, rear cover a little stained, o/w light general signs of use.
Biographical data:
Josef Cumpe (1868-1943), Czech problem- and study composer, author of 2,000+ problems of all kind, incl. fairies and 50+ endgame studies.
Karel Traxler (1866-1936), one of the best Czech players of his time, best known for the Traxler variation of the Two Knights Defence. Well known composer, author of some 900 problems and a few endgame studies.
