The card informs that chess club Chropyne organizes the simul of Jan Foltys against 40 players on August 1, 1943.
Preprinted card, signed by Jan Foltys in pen.
14 x 9 cm.
Very good: light general signs of use, no flaws.
Biographical data:
Jan Foltys (1908-1952), IM, one of the best Czech players in 1930s and 1940s. Czech champion in 1940 and 1943, he played three times in the Olympiads (1936, 1937, 1939), his greatest success was probably the third place in Podebrady 1936 (after Flohr and Alekhine), he came third in Prague 1942 (1.-2. Alekhine, Junge).
