DESCRIPTION

Vidmar, Dr. M.: "Das zweite internationale Schachturnier in Karlsbad 1911". Eine Sammlung der 325 Partien des Turniers mit zahlreichen Erläuterungen und Diagrammen. Herausgegeben von Dr. M. Vidmar. I. Band. + II. Band.

Potsdam, A. Stein's Verlagsbuchhandlung, (1912). Original hardback edition in 2 volumes. I. Band: Title page + Index page + Portrait of Teichmann + group photo of the participants + 192 pages + II. Band: Title page + photo of Tietz, Teichmann and Schlechter + Index page + 192 pages. In German.

 

Fair to good: Binding somewhat worn, especially in the spine and in the edges and corners, with beaten and flattened corners, and with spots and friction. In both volumes, at the top of the inside of the front cover, there is a small label of previous owner's library and a small spot.

 

I. Band: Binding slightly loose, with cracking on the inside of the front cover, between pages 18-19, 144-145, 160-161, and in the inside of the back cover. Some small stains, light dirt in very few pages, as well as very few annotations or markings in pencil (possibly easy to delete).

 

II. Band: Spot of adhesive, in the lower part of the spine, on page 1. Cracking between pages 2-3 (very light), 46-47, 66-67 (very light), 96-99 (very light, and more important in the lower part), 130-131 (very light, and more important in the high part), 134-135 (very small in the high part), 142-143 (very light, and more important in the high part), and inside of back cover (light)Some small stains, light dirt in some pages, as well as very few annotations or markings in pencil (possibly easy to delete).
