13 x 14.5 cm. reprint The fourth World Chess Champion, Alexander Alekhine, was almost inseparable from his Siamese cat named Chess. They traveled together, and Alekhine frequently brought Chess to tournaments. In this photo, the pair poses together during the World Championship Match of 1935 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This item originates from the chess book collection of Zahari Stanchev, (April 27, 1920 - January 27, 1980) from Sofia, Bulgaria. Stanchev was Bulgaria's representative to FIDE in the 1960s, a writer of chess books, and an international arbiter.
