All eleven issues (the February issue was numbers 1-2) of "Chess World" magazine (edited by Cecil Purdy) for the year 1946. Volume 1. Includes index. Nine of the 11 issues are in Good Plus condition for their age. The February issue is in Good condition (feels a little fragile) while the December issue is in only Fair condition with clean pages but covers detached (see scan). All magazines appear to be inscription, annotation and foxing free. A little thumbing evident to covers but nothing too unsightly. Paper quality was variable so soon after WW2 but it certainly compares favourably to the UK chess magazines of this era. No bleeding to staples. Quite fragile. Condition Rating: 6.5/10.
