Johann Christian Bernstorf Uflacker (d. 1800) was a pastor in Ohrum. This edition contains chapters on the nature, history, and mechanics (rules and moves of the pieces) of chess, as well as on chess theory. At the end is a practical appendix, which includes, among other things, a sample game by Gustavus Selenus and an endgame by Stamma. From page 25 onward, there is also a short article about the village of Ströbeck.
