A book describing the centennial history of the Rakovnik Chess Club from 1908 to 2008. The first part of the book covers the town and its surroundings, the history of various local organizations, and so on. This is followed by the history of the chess club and an extensive interview with Vlastimil Hort. The final section (comprising roughly half of the book) is dedicated to the closed grandmaster tournament played in honor of the club's centenary. It includes all 45 annotated games (mostly annotated by GM Petr Neuman), interviews with all participants, round summaries, tournament tables, etc.
