Condition - Fair to Good: Private half-cloth binding with gilt and a spine label. Lothar Schmid's bookplate on the inside front cover. Handwritten inscriptions (mostly removable) on the front and rear endpapers. Stamp and handwritten name of Schachclub Bamberg on the title page. Several pages, including the title page, with mild foxing. Several pages with minor stains (32, 61, 134-5). The pages are vertically folded in half. The leaf containing pages 173-174 has a small piece torn off at the top (approx. 4x1 cm) - text is unaffected.
