American Chess Monthly (1892–1893) was a Boston-based chess magazine edited by George H. Walcott Jr. and published for only a single volume. Despite sharing its name with the much earlier chess magazine linked to Paul Morphy, it was a separate publication that reflected the growing interest in organized chess in the United States during the early 1890s. It featured annotated games, opening analysis, chess problems, tournament reports, and commentary, offering a snapshot of American chess just before the rise of Emanuel Lasker and the modern competitive era.

Condition: Bound in simple paper cover. Minor dog ears. One plate is loose. Some pencilled nots and scribbles. From David DeLucia's chess library. Very scarce. Even in America.
