Lubomir Ftacnik (born October 30, 1957) is a Slovak chess player and writer, International Grandmaster, five-time Czechoslovak Champion (1981, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1989) and two-time Slovak Champion (1977, 1979). At the Chess Olympiads he represented Czechoslovakia, and from 1993 Slovakia, missing only the 1998 edition. His greatest success came in 1982, when he helped Czechoslovakia win the silver medal.
