Description

Press photo of Boris Spassky celebrating his victory over Tigran Petrosian at the World Chess Championship held in Moscow from April 14 to June 17, 1969. Dimensions: 25.3 x 17.6 cm.

Condition - Fair to Good: The photo exhibits standard signs of authentic newspaper editorial use. It features a serrated top edge, indicating it was originally separated from a photographic roll or strip. The front features original black editorial crop marks in the margins. The reverse side is rich in historical provenance, bearing official "Associated Press" and "The Daily Telegraph" (published 18 JUN 1969) ink stamps, handwritten editorial archive notes, and the original glued-on descriptive paper caption slip.
