Ilja Mikan (1911–1979) was a Czech chess composer, International Master and judge of chess composition. He created around 1,200 problems, mainly selfmates and three-movers in the Bohemian school. For many years, he was active in the Czechoslovak organization for chess composition. He also owned one of the most extensive chess libraries in Czechoslovakia.
Condition - Good: private green cloth binding with lettering on spine. Binding slightly skewed. Small stain on title page.
