This is an ex libris that belonged to the Dutch chess player Dr. Max Euwe, the 1935 World Champion. The iconic design featuring the chess knight was created in the last century by the renowned artist Jonkvrouwe Jeanne Bieruma Oosting.

Notable: like a postage stamp, this ex libris has an adhesive layer on the back.
