Fifty two-move chess problem poems by J. A. W. Swane. On the last page of the booklet, two competitions are announced – an evaluation contest and a composing contest. Johannes. Antonius Walterus Swane was a Dutch chess composer active from the 1930s to the 1950s, who focused primarily on two-move problems.
A publication that is very difficult to find. Unlike books, these booklets rarely survived over a longer period of time. During World War II, Swane published three such booklets (LN 2848, 2872, and 2883). In my current auction, I am offering two of them.
Condition - Good: The paper is browned.
